^Yeah, laptops, despite their naming, are not designed to be put on your laps or on any other non-hard surface without a cooling pad or anything. They have really poor ventilation. If you are using them on a desk, they are meant to be used without a cooling pad even though it may feel quite hot.

<p>yeah it would be pretty moronic for the laptop engineers to design laptops so that people can use them on their lap</p>
