Laptop at orientation

So tomorrow is my orientation and on the website it says to bring a laptop. Do you think its a good idea? Is it really needed?

This older post implies it’s only if you want to register it? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-davis/962481-what-bring-orientation.html#post10857165

If you bring your laptop, they have a computer lab set up to help you with registering it and getting it working with the school network. I didn’t bring mine and didn’t have any problems setting it up the first day following the directions. They are just trying to avoid thousands of people calling the help desk on the first couple of days.

K thanks I don’t think I’ll be taking mine

You don’t even need to be on campus to register your computer. Just go to computingaccounts.ucdavis.edu. It’s really simple.
