Laptop Backpacks

I'm looking to get a backpack that I can carry my laptop in for college. Does anyone have a certain laptop backpack that they really like?

i had an eastpack thing a while ago and it was good

I have a North Face Yavapai that isn't designated as a laptop backpack but has a place inside where a laptop fits perfectly. I love the backpack but the laptop area isn't padded, so I use a seperate laptop sleeve I got from Timbuk2 which works really well.

Check out the other thread on the exact same topic :)

My recommendation is currently a sleeve in whatever bag you want (laptop bags make you a target).

It's all about the medium sized timbuk2 messenger bag (lasts forever and you get it custom made however you want) and then either the timbuk2 sleeve or my new favorite, the booq vyper (google it)

Plus I've yet to see a laptop backpack that's not huge AND actually looks good.

would a laptop backpack from a brand such as billabong work? it's not shaped like a typical laptop bp, plus it doubles up as a normal backpack. the padding is terrible though.

I have two laptop backpacks that aren't huge and actually look good...

one was an OP Laptop backpack, and the other was a Jansport messanger bag/backpack. The OP one was actually really small. My laptop barely fit in it. I gave it to my 6 year old cousin to use with her laptop.. which fits perfectly.

what do you mean by a "Sleeve" ?

sleeve - a case for a laptop, fits closely and protects your lappie from harm :)

Which backpack, not messenger bag, do you think is really great for a laptop and your other school stuff?

Yeah, its a little padded case that you buy in the right size to fit your laptop.

It protects it from impact and scratching and they often have a handle and some sort of pocket for small things.
