<p>I'm buying a new laptop for UCSB. I'll be staying on campus a lot doing most of my work in the library, I presume. Are there convenient outlets in the library, or should I look for a computer with a long battery life?</p>

<p>You should not have any problem finding outlets in the library.</p>
<p>just make sure you have an extended cable.</p>
<p>I actually did the majority of my work in my room, but if you want to study in the library with your laptop, the 24 hour room (aka rbr) is a good choice.</p>
<p>As an aside, you can even bring your laptop to the UCen where there are outlets too.</p>
