is there discount for those other ones?

Yeah Clevo (Sager) makes the alienware's skeleton. All alienware does really, is stick it's case on it. So if you buy Clevo/Sager you can get it way cheaper.

Compal is the second biggest laptop maker in the world. Chances are your Dell is actually a Compal. Same deal with the alienware

but does sager gives discounts on their laptops life alienware does?

Well Sagers are inherently cheaper because they don't carry the name, so even with the discount it'll probably be cheaper.

For example, if you were to max out a Sager NP9262 it'd be 4000, a maxed out Alienware m17x is over 5000. And with the sager you're getting a higher resolution, QUAD core desktop processors and a 2 8800 GTXs running in SLi. The Alienware doesn't even come close.

Now why ANYONE would want a laptop that massive and expensive? I don't know. Or even why anyone would want 17" laptops. But yeah.

Even at 15" it's better.

GlueEater, that Sager NP9262 looks AMAZING I'm seriously considering getting one now (not the maxed out one of course)

Blegh, I checked the battery life lol. A real downer considering that it is only 1.5hrs~ :\ not exactly what I'm looking for.

lol yeah, that's why 17" laptops are called desktop replacements. They aren't meant to be carried around all the time, maybe once or twice to a LAN party but that's it.

But if you still want a Sager or some other boutique brand laptop, I suggest

custom laptops - XOTIC PC - custom notebooks - gaming laptops - gaming notebooks

It's really good. The service is great, if you email someone you get a reply within the next 24 hours. And you'll never get a machine if you call. That's where I bought my laptop from (a 15.4" Sager NP2090, I think it's called a NP2092 now). They even comped my shipping because it was delayed.

I love that sites customizations lol. I'll definitely buy it there if I decide to get it.

btw do you recommend also buying the Laser Mouse or other accessories? or do you think I could get better quality/prices elsewhere

God I hate technology. When I bought my laptop, not even a year ago, a new platform of notebook processors had just come out. Now the new Peryn processors are out and they handily beat my SRs. haha, I literally bought the laptop 2 weeks after the SR processors came out, had to pre-order like a month in advance.

I just speced out that NP2092, and for about 1200 it beats out my laptop which cost me 1450 not even a year earlier.

For the mouse questions, no idea. I bought my mouse seperately.

yeah, the NP2092 is a great laptop, I convinced a couple of my friends to but it and they love it. The WXSGA+ screen is really really nice. As far as peripherals, i'd say youd be better off buying them somewhere else. also definitely check out Notebook and Laptop Reviews forums if you really want some expert information.

Are you saying I'm not an expert DuFace? I'm an expert extraordinaire, which means I"m an expert at everything. Which btw, is old french. Yeah, I'm an expert at that too.
