Laptop delivery?

Last week I ordered a laptop from Dell and gave them my home address for shipping. However, they said it should ship on September 1st and arrive at my house around the 5th or 6th. Orientation starts the 29th, so should I give them my Lerner address for shipping instead? I've heard from students that it is possible to have it delivered directly to Columbia. Even so, I'm not quite sure how it will work, since the Dell website says "You must be available to sign for your shipment when it is received."

Thanks in advance.

It is fine to send it to your Lerner address. Lerner is a giant package processing operation, and they have people there to sign for your stuff. When the package arrives, they put a note in your box and email you.

Alright. Thanks!

If you want to order a laptop with a student discount, www.dell.com/columbia is your best bet.

ok, now i'm convinced this guy works for dell...their columbia discount SUCKS!

as for the original question....yes, the way you phrase your Lerner address is:

xxxx Lerner Hall
New York, NY 10027

Simple as that, they send you an email when it arrives though i've heard that there are significant delays in the package center around when school starts.
