HPs are good... or so i've heard.

i believe you can do customizations from the nyu apple store. as for how much it costs, just go on the apple page and it will tell you

nyu's store is a rip off, you can get even get a better deal from dell if they are running a special...the thinkpads they have certainly arent worth the money and the dell's they have on the site aren't even that good. I don't know about mac's but if you arent getting a mac look elsewhere.

If it comes with one 512...buy an extra Gig if you feel like shelling out extra bucks. Worth it in my opinion. I havnt bought RAM in a while but I believe a 512 is around 45-50 and a Gig is about 100-110

Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY ACER. They're overpriced (nobody wants to buy them because they're so low quality so they end up selling to schools), they never work, they crash a lot, I had to replace the hard drive on it 7 times and reimage it 3 times, they use cheap materials so they fall apart easily, they're heavy, and worst of all, they are too slow.

I have one and I hate it, so I'm switching to mac for my next laptop.

Yeah from what I have seen the NYU computer store doesnt offer anything special in terms of PC's. But It has good prices on Mac's. Im really liking the Macbook Pro 15', but its still pricy. Does anybody want to reccomend a light, fast, Intel based, mac?

www.dealhack.com

they have coupons on dells.... they usually take a percentage off on in my case 750 off an inspiron that's gonna cost over 2000....

I just used one to buy a 2 thou dollar laptop, it only cost me 1363.00 with tax after the discount.

you realize that it is impossible to get them to work...they only allow 4,000 uses and everyone on ebay gets their stuff w/ those coupons and knows how to get them to work...those coupons are all over also, just search google for dell coupon and they are on hundreds of sites so it isn't a big secret or anything...but if you do get it to work, then props to you and you have to let me know
