I see most schools recommend using/having a lap top lock. A lot of students say that they don't use them. Any thoughts on the subject from Tualne students?

Soccerfreak-
To answer your question, I bought my s a laptop lock from the college bookstore when we moved him in last fall. A few days ago I happened to see it laying amongst the things he’d unpacked from his freshman year. It was still set to “0000” and had never been used. I took it to the office, set the lock, and used it on a laptop there.

That said, you should definitely use care with your laptop at Tulane or any school. Things definitely sprout legs, and there is nothing worse than having your laptop, and all your schoolwork, stolen.

It’s probably a good idea. And there’s no harm in getting one. But as a student there, I’ve never, ever had any problems. There was a string of thefts happening in the dorms earlier in the year; but it was mostly because people were leaving their doors unlocked I think. If you use common sense, there’s no reason to be overly, overly cautious.

well my only tip is to spell Tulane right idk about laptop locks…
