Laptop Lock

Hello! I'm an incoming freshman at Penn and am wondering about laptop locks. I stumbled upon them as I was dorm shopping. I have a single in riepe so I'll be locking my door when i'm not in the room. However, I don't plan on studying only in my room and want to study in the libraries (van pelt, fisher, etc.), and I was wondering if these tables are bolted to the floor. If i buy a laptop lock, one could easily slide the cord under the table if the table is not bolted to the floor. Does anyone have insight on this matter? Thanks in advance.

You really don’t want to ever leave your laptop unattended. My guess is that the lock would not deter a determined thief.

i bought a laptop lock my freshman year and never used it

much better to never study alone and keep friends watching it if you need to step away - or take it with you at all times

Thanks. Ur responses saved me some money! lol
