laptop

What would be the best laptop computer to bring to ucf?
I have been debating between getting a mac or a pc, and was wondering if anyone had advice.

It really does not matter unless you are a computer science major. I would go with what you are comfortable with.

and if one was going to be a computer science major? I was just curious after seeing this question because I will be majoring in computer science or engineering, though I have not made up my mind yet, I was thinking about getting a Mac when my dad takes me to get a new laptop but I was still debating.

I personally would not get a Mac unless you are entering a field that deals with media such as film editing, etc. But thats just my opinion. If you go on UCF’s website, they have a link to the UCF Computer Store. There you find many helpful things. First of all, they have a page that shows what is required/recommended out of a laptop depending on what college in UCF you are going into. It gives specific details about RAM, hard drive, and other features. It also gives offers you a special package on certain laptops that are affordable and recommended. The store has special agreements with Dell and Apple so you will find their products online. Also, the store allows you to purchase software like Microsoft Office at a HUGE discount. The best part is, let’s say you don’t like any of the Mac or Dell packages they have there. It’s ok because they give you a link to each company’s website that allows you to select whatever computer you want but still receive a student discount. Hope this helps! check out [Welcome to the UCF Computer Store | Ph: (407) 823-5603 Fax: (407) 823-5836](http://cstore.ucf.edu) for more info!
