<p>I am auditioning for FSU, USF, and UM as a transfer for music performance/education. I am curious about a few things:
-are there any specific laptops that are required for any of these colleges?
-are there any music computer programs (sibelius, finale, etc.) required?
Also if there is any extra info about the programs that would be helpful or any tips about the audition process for these programs please feel free to post. (I am auditioning on clarinet and have 9 years of experience under my belt.)</p>
<p>I don’t know about required music programs for those schools, but I have Finale and CutePDF, which makes making scores for music theory and conducting so much easier.</p>
<p>Some schools tend to be “Finale schools” and others “Sibelius schools”, etc. or another program where that is just what is encouraged there. Mine uses Finale, so that’s what I got.</p>
<p>You should ask this in the Music Major forum, because some others there might know about those schools specifically.</p>
