laptops at Penn?

Just wondering, does Penn issue laptops to its students? I dont think so but just asking.

nope, you just buy whatever you want / can afford

I don't think so, but there's sort of like an online store where you can buy laptops at a discount I think... You need a PennKey. Can anyone confirm this for me? haha, even I'm fuzzy if it really is what i think it is.

computer connection provides discounts, yeah, but only on select apple, dell, and lenovo models (there's also a penn student discount on the apple, dell, and lenovo online build-your-own stores)

does Penn sell used or second-hand laptops? I know some schools do that.

No, although they have started selling those little netbook thingies.

Apple usually has a sweet back to school promo that runs from July-Sep/Oct. Sweet as in “here, have a free iPod Touch” (which was last year’s offer)

All of the above posters are wrong. You get a laptop from Penn, but heres the catch: its invisible.

you can borrow laptops from the library for a few hours at a time
