<p>Do most students bring laptops to classes? Just wondering since it might be important to get something light if that's the case. Any recommendations for brands? Thinking about a Dell Inspiron 710m (very small and light) along with a docking station and bigger monitor for the room. Friends are recommending the IBM/lenovo brands - but they are more expensive. Looked at the PSU computer store deals and they don't seem that great.
Other questions: Is there a computer repair service available on campus? Is laptop theft a big problem? Any other suggestions from current students?</p>
<p>there was some discussion at the end of this thread regarding laptop locks. When my son was in the dorm he had a flat screen monitor and secured that to his desk with a cable too.</p>
