<p>Now, I am not a proponent of strict parental control, but if I were a parent, I think I would do everything I reasonably could to prevent this from happening. Haha. I saw more than one person fail out of college on account of WoW. Still, a graphics card would be good for anyone doing ME, AE, or CivE. Really, anything that may at some point use CAD. Plus, other games are just fine to play, just not WoW.</p>

<p>That is a waste of money. Most monitors are either already HD, or have enough resolution for their size that the human eye can’t tell the difference if you added more pixels. At that point, the only advantage of more pixels is screen real estate.</p>

<p>The rest of those are pretty much neutral or you already answered your own question (a la facial recognition).</p>

<p>Bone, I had to laugh when you commented on WoW. He’s been there done that in high school, and it certainly didn’t hurt his grades, but I keep telling him that Freshman year in college isn’t the 5th year of HS. I’m sure he’ll ease into college life, taking a bunch of small steps in order to acclimate himself, and WoW won’t be one of them, although Guitar Hero, Aerosmith has been taking up a lot of his time lately.</p>
