I was wondering how common MACs are on campus. Basically is it okay if I get one, because the new ones are pretty sweet and I'm tired of pc's?

Thanks!

Oh my gosh I know a BILLION people with MACs. My roommate has one...half my friends have them...half the people I see in class have them. There are even a ton of computer labs with just MACs. If you want it get it...it's not going to be a problem. Plus I hear the new ones are awesome so it's probably a good choice.

Awesome. I'm going to go ahead a get one in a month or two!

Macs abound. The nice thing is, if you have to do any work on the public system, you can do it "through" either a Mac or a Windows PC, so it really doesn't matter what you get - as long as you like it.

everyone in my senior class got a free IBM/dell/or compaq, so i'm not really worrying anymore, but if i were u, i'd get a mac

Just get whatever system you like - both Windows and Mac based systems are common on campus.

I use a Mac and the majority of my female friends use Macs (not the guys, surprisingly). Macs are everywhere on campus -- honestly, in classes where people bring laptops, I always see more Macs.

I have never had a problem with compatibility issues. I've also never gotten a virus.

(Plus-- in looking for summer jobs, I've found that proficiency with Macs is a marketable trait).

geez, someone must be one of the mac reps on campus.
