<p>My S has a Gateway Tablet PC; he totes it everywhere and uses it to take notes in class. It has worked very, very well for him.</p>
<p>Macs seem to be much more prevalent on campus, but that should not be what you base your decision on.</p>
<p>the campus supports both mac and pc, so it really just depends on your personal preference. my roommate last year had a pc and i had a mac...i think that STS gives pc users a bit of a harder time (because PCs can get viruses and macs generally don't), but all of the computers in the libraries are PCs, so...</p>

<p>He means what laptop brand students prefer, not what the computer labs use. </p>
<p>From my experience, 75% of students have a Mac. The computers in the labs and libraries are all PCs, but that really does not matter unless you are using a PC-only program.</p>
