<p>i got a dell thats about 8.4 lb including cord and battery. i'm wondering - usually do people carry their laptops to their lectures / discussions? which classes do people use notebooks the most in?</p>

<p>my classes are: ugba, chem1a, math16a, geog10, and phil6. i'd like to avoid backaches before i'm 30.</p>

<p>I would use a notebook for chem (structures and formulas) and math (formulas). I dunno about the rest.</p>

<p>I have a full-sized Dell as well. It’s not too handy to carry but it definitely has its advantages at the desk.</p>

<p>it might be useful for those non euqation oriented clases, but you definitely shoulda got a lighter laptop.</p>

<p>I’d bring it to UGBA and philosophy definitely. Never took a geography class, but I would assume that its very text focused, so you might try that too. Classes like chem and math, its better to use pen and paper.</p>
