<p>Which brand is the best so far for GT students? Do they really need a powerful laptop? which processor will be fine? core 2 duo 2.66GHz or quad 2.00 GHz? Do they sell good new laptops in GT with good offers?</p>

<p>You don’t want a quad core laptop. They consume way too much power. The lowest power quad core processor is still rated for 65W.</p>
<p>My advice would be to go for portability over power and just get a cheap desktop for CPU-intensive tasks.</p>
