How would you recommend keeping track/ backing up mp3 collections that are reaching over 50 gb on your home computer?

Do you back up your files onto cd's or dvd's or have an external hd just for mp3s?

Is there any point in backing up files that can so easily be obtained through a p2p or torrents?

Before I began using torrents and soulseek, I'd burn my mp3s onto cd's. Now I don't even revisit my cd collection, and it's even less a hassle to dl an album than browsing through my unorganized binders.

It seems pointless to backup a favorite album you dl to save space and performance if you're always going to listen to that album...so I'm not sure what to do. I want to free up some space, but I don't want to delete or transfer files.

or get a 60gb mp3 player? works as a external and an mp3 player. XP but if you already have an mp3 player and don't want to switch or spend more money on it, get another internal or external harddrive, probably the best way. I have 3 external harddrives and a harddrive mp3 player ahaha.

Harddrive prices have really been going down lately. If you keep checking sites that keep track of sales (www.fatwallet.com) or just weekly ads, apparently nowadays it's not that hard to get down to something like 35 cents a gig.
