hey-- just curious about whether colleges still use a large envelope for accepted and a small for deferred. (ED) I didn't know if maybe they try not to give it away anymore or something.

also, do they send all decisions out at once or as they make them? (for LACs)

It depends on the school... some schools send out small, thin envelopes regardless of the decision! The bigger stuff is sent out later.

I think most schools email decisions or post them online as well as sending an envelope. Most seniors receive their admissions decisions from the Internet before receiving the official letter.

And this is completely your choice, but I don't think I'd put my full name on these forums if I were you. It's just not the smartest thing to do...

I've been wondering about that too...and it is specific to the school, whether it's thick or thin. Traditionally you'd think thick, but not so, apprently. My school actually does not post the decision online, but just allows you to track your app. Looking online seems somewhat anti-climatic to me...just opening a new Internet Explorer browser and there it is, you know? That's just me. There's something about hovering around your mailbox and tearing into that envelope, opening the folds, ready to squeal with glee or sob...but we shall see! Ten days or so to go!
