Largest increase in score

I'm going to take the may SAT test. I got 1660 and wanted to increase my score to 1900+. I made this thread so u guys can tell ur first score and then increase in score so I can be optimistic. I am really prepping hard because I want to get a very big grade. Please tell me ur increase in scores. Really appreciate it guys thx. I'm an international student from the Middle East.

What country are you located in? Do you go to international school?

1660 to 1900+ is feasible but will require a lot of work, especially if English is your second language.

Depending on where you are, I may be able to offer you suggestions to help you increase your score.

I’m from Egypt. I go to an American school

went from 1830 to 2030, not too big a jump though. Waiting for my Jan SAT’s now

I got the same exact score as you and am hoping to accomplish the same thing with the next 2 tests I take. I think one of the biggest things you need to do is recognize your weaknesses and try to focus on studying those specific weaknesses.

From 1950 to 2310.

Converted from PSAT -
1870 -> 2030 with little studying

1900 to 2320
Definitely doable to get a 1900+! :)

these are practice test scores (real scores come out tomorrow 5 am EST):

July: 1800
September: 2300
(skipped the November due to nervousness)
December: near 2400/2400

A 300 point increase is quite reasonable.

So far, 1970 SAT to 227 PSAT.
I’ll have my January 26 SAT score in a few hours.

^^According to his profile, thetenthdoctor is 21 years old. :)

1940->2390+231 psat it’s honestly not that hard

The first time I took the SAT (which was in june) I got a 1750.
In october, I brought it up to 1910. And two weeks ago, I pulled it up more to 2080. So yea 300+ is possible.

Sent from my SGH-T839 using CC

139 on my Soph. PSAT.
1960 on Jan. 2013 SAT as a Junior.

Aiming for 2000+ in May. Silly mistakes are killer…

June 2012: 1620 (570 M-450 R-600 WR, 7 Essay)
November 2012: 1780 (580 M-550 R-650 WR, 8 Essay)
January 2013: 2050 (680 M-650 R-720 WR, 8 Essay)

It’s definitely possible, if you asked back in June if I’d be able to get this score I would tell you it was impossible. This website helped a lot :D. I’m also an International from the Middle East here BTW. Also note that I’d started studying 3 months before my June exam, so I probably started with a 1300-1400.

I am from Egypt too, masryeen zy b3d. First, which school do you go to and do you take private lessons?

Second, where do you see your problem (which section), I started out with around an 1600 and now i’m striving for a 2200+ since my highest score till now was 1960, i think i can make it.

Now, considering you i think you can rest assured if you focus you can easily get a 2000+ as well, and btw 1660 on your first try is amazing! How much did you prepare for it?

Egyptian here too (Alexandria), I personally think private lessons are s**t. I used to take them in 10th grade and used to increase an average of 20 points a month; they’re practically useless.

Freshman year: 2060 SAT, 205 PSAT
Junior year: 2400 SAT, 240 PSAT

300+ point jumps are entirely possible.

March 2012: 1720 (600CR, 550M, 570W)
October 2012: 2030 (650CR, 610M, 770W)
January 2013: 2040 (710CR, 650M, 680W)
Superscore: 2130

That’s an increase of 320 from my first to last sitting, and an increase of 410 from my first sitting to my superscore. All self-studied using the prep material here at CC, the Blue Book, and my local library.

Freshman year: 1970 SAT
Sophomore year: 210 PSAT
October junior year: 227 PSAT
January junior year: 2340 SAT
