Yes, txmetal, the U of M is comprised of 16 colleges such as the School of Design, College of Liberal Arts, Carlson School of Management, Law School, and Medical school, ect. All of these are just different schools within the University and are all part of the same campus. As for Texas Tech, it is actually comprised of 13 colleges in the same way the U of M is. As far as the size goes, he didnt state that Texas Tech was the second largest CONTIGUOUS university campus, he said it was the second largest campus in the US with 1,839 contiguous acres, there is a difference in the statements.

that’s cool Minnesota has all the different schools on one campus? Sweet.

I thought Rutgers would be pretty big…it has four campuses.
Pretty much all of Jersey is Rutgers

I always thought the largest campus was shared between Stanford and this uni in Russia (sorry if someone said it, or if i’m wrong) I think what made the discrepancy was contiguous, or whether it was in America. Idk.

After that was definitely Duke.

Most of you continue to speak of Stanford as being the second largest contiguous university campus, or the biggest, if your near sighted mind excludes small private schools from your list, but y’all speak incorrectly. It is true that Berry is largest, by far, but Stanford at just over 8,000 acres is not even close to second. Sewanee: The University of the South, a 1,400 student private liberal arts university in a secluded area on top of the bluffs of the Cumberland Plateau in Sewanee, TN has 13,000 CONTIGUOUS breathtaking acres nearly 5,000 more than Stanford, and if you are ever passing by, it was just named by Princeton Review as #1 on the 2010 list for most beautiful school in the nation.

Usafa- nearly 100sqkm

just because you or someone you know don’t consider Berry College “recognizable by the general public” doesn’t mean it’s not. anyone who researches and knows about universities, campus’s, and enrollment, knows about Berry College. And Duke is not even in the top five in terms of pure campus size. I am from Ohio and attend The Ohio State University and I know about Berry College. I’d say that is nationally recognizable.

Texas tech is currently the largest contiguous campus in the US, as Air force, the former #1, sold one their airstrips. Fact.
