Yale Summer Session ('10)
ECON 252: B+
ENGL 212: B+

Essays:
CommonApp: interesting interior monologue about internationalism, economics, history, culture, all of which spurred from a verbal assault on a bus.
WhyPenn: Fairly standard, usual stuff backs up my EC's interest in various activities at Penn, academic opportunities etc.

References:
Uni Counsellor (also econ teacher): most likely amazing since I have consistently shown the most promise in economics and am friendly with him outside class.
Teacher references: honest, unbiased opinions, that is the school policy so these should be fairly good and when I visited Penn they said they appreciate honest references!

Additional reference:
Yale University Professor: taught me during the summer, graded my work, knows me fairly well and will again provide an honest unbiased account of my work with him in seminars with Yale students.

Hoping to Major in Economics and minor in History or another social science/humanity. I have been getting 2200's in my recent Blue book practice tests, assuming i achieve 2150+ on the real thing in November what do you think my chances would be?

One more question: if I have already sent Penn a score report (one of my four free ones) with all my scores apart form my pending November SAT, do I still need to "rush" the November scores? How can I do this if I have already sent them? Please advise!

Scores are pretty low…

regarding your november score–send in the newest one, rush. Call the school’s admissions office if you have ny questions

If you’re not an international applicant like you mention, you’ll have some chance. However, your SAT scores are pretty low; that will be a BIG hindrance fore Penn.

Yes I would agree your SAT is pretty low. But hey we have similar IB marks  To be honest if your November scores are good, rush them!
