[last chance in december] sat ii vs. Sat i? [appyling to johns hopkins and duke]

December will be my last shot at the SAT's; however, I'm on the fence on which one I should take. I'm applying to Johns Hopkins and Duke among other elite schools.

SAT I: 2040
Reading: 580
Math: 730
Writing: 730
Essay: 12/12

SAT II
MATH II: 710
US HISTORY: 620
BIOLOGY: 520

I want to do whichever puts me into the best position to get accepted.

Should I increase my SAT I or my SAT II score?

SAT I, no question about it. You need to boost that reading score.

what’s your major?
if it’s bio/history take the sat II
if it’s english/language take the satI

I’m headed towards a pre-med major. If this helps, I have taken a total of 13 of Math and Science classes, including AP Statistics, AP Biology, AP Physics, AP Chemistry, and AP Calculus.

I’d retake SATI if you’ve only taken it once before, but if you’ve already taken it a few times then I would stop trying because your score probably won’t increase much more.

I’m pretty sure I can get my Reading to about 600-620. And about my low Biology score, my academic record and my classes taken are second to none (Five AP Math/Science Classes).

^Bump

Isn’t the deadline passed already? Can you change to subject test if you registered
SAT I?

I say take SAT 1, you can use it for all colleges rather than sat 2’s, and if you got a 4 or 5 on the AP Bio test that shows that you know the subject well

ok sounds good.

^^^bump
