There are a lot of other insignificant nothings that I shouldn't mention, so I won't even bother. This is the 3rd AND last chance thread I'll be starting, since college applications are already being released. So bear with me! Thanks =)

What schools are you currently interested in?

@jshain: I accidentally left my schools out when I first posted, but I just edited the post and now they’re up there. Thnx for opening my thread.

Schools (not necessariliy going to apply, just interested):

Georgetown- reach, and somewhat unpredictable
UC - Berkeley- low reach, Los Angeles- low reach, Irvine- match
U Illinois Urbana-Champaign- high match
U Minn Twin Cities- match
U Texas Austin- high match
Case Western [PPSP in Medicine]- match
Johns Hopkins- reach
Oberlin College- low reach
Wash. Univ. in St. Louis- reach
American Univ.- safety

You have a very ambitious list of schools on your list. Your GPA is obviously great but your SAT scores will need to come up 200 points if you want to be competitive at some of the more selective schools on your list, such as WUStL, JHU, and GU. If you were in-state you would still be a high match and maybe even a low reach at UCB and UCLA with your current SAT score. I think you get in at UCI and I would also encourage you to apply to UCSan Diego and UCDavis- it is not more work just a little more money, for the application fee- IF you decide to apply to the UC’s. If you would like to go to school in DC and it appears so, I would add George Washington University to your list as well.

Thanks! So I knew a bunch of those would be reaches considering my SAT scores and whatnot. I just needed to know how much of a reach they were exactly. Even though most of them are matches and reaches (you only labeled one safety! :P) I would be fine if I got rejected to all except one. If that should ever be the case I’d still be fine because I like them all equally. Some of them just have more prestige than the others I guess.

Again, thanks a lot for your help. I really appreciate it.

Wash. Univ. in St. Louis- reach

Berkeley - low reach to reach
JHU - low reach to reach

UCLA - high match to low reach

BUMPBUMPBUMP. This is the last time I’m going to decide which schools I’m going to apply to so it would be really nice if you all could contribute your two cents  thnx.
