This is my last chance to take the ACT before doing early decision. It is also unfortunately my first time taking it because of my poor planning. The date is on September 21st, is there anything you guys want to tell me. My goal is to get a 30+, I scored a 31 on the McGraw Hill book but everyone says that book is baloney. Recommend me a book that is just as good as the SAT's blue book.

Same position. I scored a 25 and am also looking for a 30+. I am planning on reading my PR 2013 and The Real Act 2012 in the upcoming 2 months. The last 20 or so days will be spent taking practice exams and go over some notes. 2 hours everyday starting tomorrow is the plan.

I didn’t read the the last time I took the test. Hopefully that was my problem but now I will do 75% studying and 25% practice. Also, I had similar scores when I was using ths McGraw Hill book, it’s very easy.

I suggest you look up ACT prepping on this CC website. There’s a ton of info out there to help you.

Red book, Princeton books, and the practice tests they release every year

Do 10-20 or so full practice tests over the summer. Go through the answers and explanations on those you missed. If you have not reached a plateau or target score after 20 practice tests, do more practice.

Red book, Princeton books, and the practice tests they release every year ****

Are there more than one Princeton books? which ones? who releases practice tests every year.

The ACT releases the practice tests. Actually, I think they release a new one every two years. It should be available free from your guidance counselor.

There are also Kaplan, Barrons, McGraw Hill, etc.
