Last chances post... I promise

I'm a white female from Long Island, NY who attends an all-girls prep school upstate. I'm applying to these schools:

University of Chicago EA
Columbia
UC-Berkeley
NYU
Barnard (possible but unlikely)

Grades and Scores
No GPA or rankings, but I think I'm in the top 3/~80
All As from 9-12 with one A- in English (grr...)
Old SAT: 760v + 740m = 1500
New SAT: 800v + 740m + 790w = 2330
SAT-II: French 800, Math I 790, Literature 760
APs: Computer Science AB 4 (took it soph year), French 5
Taking SAT-II Physics and Math II in October. Also taking AP Physics C, AP Calculus BC, and AP US Government this year. My school doesn't offer a ton of APs.

ECs
TONS of vocal music -- choir, inner choir, various a capella groups (9-12)
Peer Educator (11) and Proctor (12)
School play (10) and drama club (12)
Yearbook photographer (11-12)
Lots of other random clubs that I did for only one year

"Interesting" Info
I'm doing two tutorials this year -- one is advanced French and the other is philosophy and modern physics (quantum mechanics, relativity, chaos theory, fun stuff like that). I worked on a local political campaign this summer and spent many hours walking, gathering signatures, and strategizing.

Connections
Grandfather went to Columbia undergrad and grad.
Grandmother went to Columbia grad.
Aunt went to Barnard.

I still don't know which school is my first choice, though right now I'm thinking Chicago. If I decide I love Columbia the most, I might do ED there.

So, what do you think? Thanks for reading!

i'd say you'll get into nyu. you're a reasonable applicant for the other schools.

Thanks for your response... bumping this up again.

I'm also considering Stanford but I know that's a long shot (well, so is Columbia). My chance at Stanford is 12% just like every other kid who applies. Haha.

I forgot to mention that I've gotten awards from my school in French and computer science, and I got the Harvard book award last year. Does anyone know if that kind of book award makes any difference in applying to colleges? I mean, I'm not applying to Harvard, but does it help me anywhere else?

As long as you write good essays for Chicago (the string one looked interesting, I thought), I'd say you have a really good chance. The book award doesn't mean much, I think, because it's given out by alumni, not the school. Apply to Chicago EA-it's the best of the schools on your list (including Stanford). :)

Great scores. Your ec's are your weakest point, but you probably already knew that. You're good for NYU and Barnard, the rest are a toss-up.

UCB: Match (out of state)
