LIST

Ohio U.
Bowling Green
Old Dominion
Marshall (already accepted)

My grades were low due to an abundance of family problems plus diagnosed severe depression. I wrote about this in the essay that I sent to each of the schools I applied to.

Now, I have a question. Ohio University sent me a letter saying that they were waiting to decide on me until after they got my grades from this first semester. Is this good for me, or are they just delaying my rejection? Part of me thinks this is good because it seems as though they haven't written me off just because of my grades, but the other part of me isn't sure. What are your thoughts? Thanks.

If your instate for ohio, i'm assuming you are since your applying there and bowling green, then your in. My friend got in with a 2.9 and a 1050 sat.

Location: Pennsylvania..I've heard that Ohio U. is trying to become more diverse as far as what states their students are from, and even if that's not the case, will my out of state status hurt me that much?

Ohio university:
SATM: 75%>500, 29%>600, 4%>700
SATV: 71%>500, 25%>600, 4%>700
average gpa 3.35 (83.75%)
i'd say your pushing it a little from out of state (just a little).

<is this="" good="" for="" me,="" or="" are="" they="" just="" delaying="" my="" rejection?="">
I'd say they are trying to see if you can get that 75% up closer to 80 (at least for that semester)
Good luck, btw ou is gorgeous, just don't party too hard</is>

Well for the first quarter, my GPA was at 82%, and halfway through the second it's around 81% and rising. I'm not sure how much of an effect my first quarter GPA had on my career GPA, I'm assuming not that much.
