LAST chances thread

I know I've made other chances thread previously, but now since I have everything in, including my new subject test scores and mid-year grades, I will make a final chances thread for myself.

Chances for HYPS, Dartmouth, Duke, Wash U in St. Louis, BC, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, and UCSB.

Thanks!

bumpbumpbumpbump

I'd say yes to BC and all the UCs. Maybe Wash U. I think your scores and ECs are weak for the others.

Bump Bump Bump

Sorry, but I don't think you have any chance at all at HYPS, Dartmouth or Duke and a weak chance at Washington. Your SATI is about 100 points below average at all of those and you're ECs are very sub par.

yeah I agree. :(

Do you think they'll outright throw me out though? Do I stand any chance at all?

I don't believe so, but who knows. One of your teachers might have said you're the most brilliant kid ever who saved 50 lives while risking his own with 2 broken legs.

Ok, thanks for the encouragement bob.

bump bump bump?

Your SAT I's and mediocre EC's are most likely going to keep you out of the ivies and Duke. Might luck out at Wash U, i've known people with similar scores who got in there. Good chance at UC's.

Ok thanks.

anyone else?

bump bump bump

lhDCpage06:

UCB/UCLA: Match
UCSD: Safe Match
UCSB: Safety

Thanks. I got the Regents from LA but not Berkeley. : (

A lot of kids would kill for that. Congrats.

^^ agreed, but I can still see why you're disappointed.

I'm really happy and surprised I got invited to compete at UCLA, but Berkeley is definitely my top choice UC school, but I guess I'm not quite good enough.

Any other chances?

Well anyways, thanks for all the predictions. I just want to pull up my old chances thread to give some enouragement.

Everyone said that my weak ECs, test scores, etc. would keep me out at HYPS. I got into Yale and Stanford. Don't let mere numbers discourage you. If you have something special, colleges will see it and consider you.

Congrats to all you guys who got accepted!

And once again, this shows how well CC can really predict your chances (or NOT). Thanks again for the encouragement, bob.

Way to go, pagEL60!
