<p>I've decided that I'm going to retake the SATs. I'm wondering when is the last date to take the SATs. The last test date is march 13th....but the application is due march 15th.</p>
<p>Will this be okay? I'm applying to NYU, Cornell, and Columbia. And all they're deadlines are march 15th or later.</p>
<p>also, would it be a good idea to register for the ACTs as well? (like what if i don't do so well on the SATs)</p>
<p>If you took the March 13 test the scored would not be to the schools by the March 15th deadline. College Board takes their sweet time grading and sending out score reports.</p>
<p>As for the ACT, I personally did much better on it than I did on the SAT. The ACT allows you less time per section but the questions are easier. I just retook the SAT (I too am trying to boost my scores to transfer) and had a lot of extra time at the end of every section so I probably should have retaken the ACT instead. Some people score significantly better on one test over the other. The ACT plus writing is $45, if you can afford it along with all your application fees it couldn’t hurt.</p>
