Hi there!
I'm applying early decision (deadline November 1st) to the University of Miami, and I really want to retake my ACT on October 26th. Do you think they'll receive my scores in time? Thanks!

All documents have to be submitted (postmarked) by Nov. 1. The Oct 26 ACT results won’t be available until Nov. 12 at the earliest. That’s probably too late, but you can email or call admissions to double check.

Where are you getting this??? The only thing that must be submitted by the deadline is the application itself. If a recommendation or other supporting document isn’t in by that date, that’s usually not an issue. Since UM doesn’t state on its website what the latest acceptable test date is for early decision applicants, you should contact the admissions office and ASK.

It is actually better than UMich, which all documents need to be received (not submitted) by Nov 1.
