I hope to be finished by 7:00 PM tonight

At which time I will attempt to finish my supplement

Would anyone care to read my common app essay then?

At which time I will attempt to finish my supplement

Would anyone care to read my common app essay then?

^ PM me. :)

Word 650 of my essay...

So far, I have just finished retelling a story, now it's time for an analysis

please tell me if you'd like to read my essay once im finished!

I'll send it to you immediately after I'm done butternut :D

Good luck seniors!!

"I just finished. The supplementary essay was well written (if I do say so myself), but rather unique. I have a feeling it will either make or break my application. THough honestly, I don't care right now."

Butternut, I feel the exact same way. i feel like my supp is really risky. like the admissions officer is either gonna be like wow interesting, that's so weird OR they'll be like w t f this reveals nothing important about you

^ Wow, exactly. You summed it up perfectly! Near the end I put, "Although if an essay about cats getting run over tell you something about a person, I suppose this does, too" (the cat thing referenced something earlier in the essay)

FINISHED

1030 words of pure glory.

If anyone would like to read and review it, please let me know! :D

1030 words? holy ****

haha okay i only said s h i t

I am sort of freaking out about this. I submitted my application, but my Common App essay and Supp Essay are very similar - not bad, just a lot alike. I realized afterwards that I repeated 2 phrases in my Supp Essay as my Common App essay. How much do you think this will matter, do you think they will notice. I am a perfectionist and sort of freaking out a bit about this. Yikes, please give me your advice.

Dani, don't worry too much about it. What's done is done and I'm sure that they're not going to let two repeated phrases dictate whether to select you or not over your ENTIRE application. Chillax and enjoy one less application =]

-but that's my advice, also a perfectionist, but tend to be "meh, it's done" when certain things happen.

I hope so! Good luck! :)

I submitted my Yale Application yesterday. For the short answer questions on the supplement, did most of you state fairly serious answers or were you more fun with it? I had one humorous/different answer for "What do you wish you were better at?" but my mom hated it and gave me reason to change it.

omg is anyone else having trouble submitting the application?

submitted everything as a first draft! gulp

My essays are incredibly generic and too reaching, I have failed you mind...

submitted supplement and payment yesterday, application today. finally done!...........with yale.

I had one really humorous, but still true short answer for what i wish i was better at being/doing-it was amazing(in my opinion), the others were serious though.

Question: Is it 11:59 PM in my own time zone, or 11:59 PM EST? It'd be so, so nice if it were 11:59 PM in my own time zone. >_>

My short answers were more serious...oh, my free afternoon one had a slight joke in it. :)

my shorts were very honest

and had a couple funnies in them

Good luck to all the RDers from an SCEAer - especially to those of you still working on your apps in the waning hours. I believe I submitted my early app at 11:40 ish PM on November 1, so I can identify :)

I'll pray for you all come March.
