I have about a 3.45 gpa right now ( completed calc 1, calc 2 and stats). Ill be applying as a social ecology major ( social science major; online it says if you want to switch to this major the gpa requirement is 2.8 and 3.4 for TAG). I took a political science course at UCI last spring as well. I tagged to UCI but my 3.45 might go down to a 3.43 if i get a B in gen chem.

( freaking out since UC apps are due tmmr )

Well at this point is there anything you could really do to help or hinder your application? I’m not quite sure what you’re trying to ask, but at this point you can only apply. Stay positive and focus on finishing the rest of the semester strong. Recheck your application (for correctness), recheck your statements (if necessary), and focus on the classes you have now. Start by reviewing your notes for chemistry for the finals. Hope everything turns out alright.

I’d say you’re pretty much in if you TAGG’ed and the major is not impacted, which i don’t believe it is. Keep the GPA up during spring and maybe take some winter classes to cushion your GPA.

@jonjon, no theres nothing I could do. But it’s freakout mode for most of us. Hence, all the “chance me” threads. Thanks for your input, though :)

@ivelosthope, thanks! i’m going to be taking winter classes. hope everything works out well for you!
