Hi, I am new here, My son is currently in one of the Big 10 school in Mid West as pre-med major, this coming Fall is his 3rd year, all of sudden a few weeks ago, he said, I do not feel that I will not pursue medical career as he does not feel too comfortable with life science courses, but want to transfer to business major.
As most school admission deadlines were over long time ago, only a few small private university has opening , but i do not want downgrade from Big 10 to a small one, anyone can help me , my son has a vast international exposure starting from age of 12 to Europe as People to People Ambassador exchange student, has foot steps over 22 countries, last year, he was at GE life Science division in China doing summer intern, Anyone can help this last min transfer to a reputable school equivalent to the Big 10 , As a dad , i will surely support him financially to fulfill his dream which best suits him , Thanks a million, Ben
First off, depending on which big ten school he is at, it may be smarter to just stay there and switch majors. A lot of big ten schools have great business programs for publics.
That being said, if he is at a school with a not so good business program, would it be possible to transfer for the spring semester into a better school than the small private option that is currently available? Just a thought as I don’t think a small private university would provide many opportunities for business.
