<p>So I just submitted my apps to the UC's and I'm worried about the privates.
I just want to know what my chances are and whether I should apply anywhere else this late in the game. I want to major in aerospace or mechanical engineering with a minor in EE. I have extenuating circumstances to explain my poorer grades for freshman and sophomore years (my father had a stroke so I became a janitor to pull in some extra money).</p>
