I will have great teacher recommendations and feel confident about how I will perform in my interview.

Thanks for looking at this. I am undecided about my major right now but would just like an idea of where I stand in the admissions process.

yeah you have a pretty good shot of getting in.

I’d say that it just depends on your essays, because your stats are great.

do you honestly think that this is “nothing spectacular”

I would say that spectacular is someone who’s got 10+ AP’s, travels the country with his/her instrument, and wins multiple national or international awards for what they’re interested it. I’ve seen eagle scouts, 2400’s, Math Olympiads and Intel winners on these forums. I’ve seen citizens awards and all star athletes. Yeah I’m not going to be a ■■■■■ and say that I’m worthless just for attention, but “spectacular” is a special class I should think.

I think your stats are pretty impressive. I think students on this site have a bizarre sense of what are amazing stats and what are not. You scored higher than 99% of the country on most of your exams, have better grades than 99% of the students out there, are #1 ranked in your school, have amazing ECs and won two state piano competitions. If you don’t get into Brown, it will only mean that the admissions process is somewhat of a crap shoot, as we all know it is. Some other elite school on your list will admit you, as long as your essays are great. Start thinking of yourself as spectacular.

once someone goes above a 3.9 and above a 2300 the numbers don’t matter
at that point what the admissions officers are looking for is what kind of a person you are
a.k.a your essays, reccs, interview so on
you are obviously good enough for brown
it has low standards
