Last-minute paranoia about registration:

Does someone who gets how to register for a lecture that has a recitation who has AIM message me?

Or just someone who will message on CC for like, ten minutes tops?

…read the bloody handbook.

^^ I take that back… use common sense.

:-(

Ok, one big question that I have is: Should I list an alternate for the lecture? But then each lecture has its own grouping of recitations, so do I list two separate requests of recitations, each with both a primary and an alternate since they’re so small, one for each lecture? And put them both before the single lecture request, in primary/alternate-lecture-choice order?

Right now I just haven’t listed an alternate for MATH104.

…Huh? Lol

Do you want two recitations but 1 lecture only or two recitations, one each for a distinct lecture?

BASICALLY: I requested a lecture for MATH104. Do I need to worry about whether or not I’ll get into it enough to list an alternate lecture?

I only want one recitation but I’m listing an alternate, since they’re capped at 20 students so I might not get into my first choice.

And if I list TWO lecture requests, one primary and one alternate, then do I need to request 4 recitations?

Never hurts… but if the time of the alternate math lecture/recitation is in conflict with other courses you might as well not request them.

But would I be okay if I didn’t list an alternate Math lecture?

And if I do list an alternate lecture, how do I list the recitations?

Just list one lecture. Because they’re so large, you almost always get into them. Plus this is only advanced registration, so chances are, even if you don’t get into the lecture you want, spots will open up later.

And DSI, all recitation sections are associated with a lecture. So what redandblue is saying is that before you can choose a recitation, you have to know what lecture you’re in.

Thanks so much. I feel better about this. And yeah, I know, my fault for worrying about this the day before the registration period ends…

Can you list a math lecture as your primary choice and then a humanities class as your alternate choice?

Econ 10 is guaranteed for freshmen, right? As in I can put it as my last request and still be guaranteed a spot? How about stat?

To SusieBra, I think they have to be the same activities. As in both lectures or both seminars.

Thanks, moshi. Upperclassmen: can anyone confirm???

Yes you can. Read the bloody booklet.
