<p>My S paid with a credit card and tried to submit the app. But it was denied because it said he had not yet paid. When he tried to pay again, the second payment was denied because it said it was a duplicate payment. Hes stuck and the deadline is tomorrow.</p>

<p>I think the only thing we can do is wait for the payment to go through before submitting the application. However, I have NO IDEA what I’m going to do if the payment doesn’t go through by tomorrow night.</p>
<p>I’m having this problem as well, with a different college. However, I got the email confirmation for the payment, but it won’t show up on CommonApp website, and I am also getting the “duplicate” error when I try to submit a payment again. If necessary, I’ll just click the “Mail Check” option so it will let me submit the application.</p>

If you have received a valid payment receipt from a Sallie Mae payment (email confirmation), but the payment is not showing up in the Common App Online, please use the “Other Fee Waiver” option or “Mail Check” to indicate payment. This will allow you to continue with the submission process. Your record will be updated within the next 24-48 hours to indicate the successful credit card payment.
