Last minute scheduling advice needed!

Is this too heavy for 1st semester freshman if I had a fairly rigorous academic background?

French 1 (5 units)
Stat 2 (4 units)
Computer science 10 (4 units)
Environmental science 10 (4 units)
Physics 24 (1 unit)

I am kind of unsure about my major, but I am thinking about applying to Haas. At CalSo, the counselor suggested that I should not take Econ 1 or UGBA 10 first semester because they are very difficult courses, so I came up with the schedule above. Computer science and French and the seminar are solely interest-based. Stat 2 is a Haas requirement and Enviro is a breadth course. It adds up to 17 units. Too Heavy? I still have 24 hours to adjust my schedule.

you can also adjust your schedule during open hours. they are usually from like 7pm-12 everynight if i’m not mistaken

if you are apply to haas i think you need stats 20 or 21

oh and lots of people take UGBA 10 or Econ 1 first semester, i don’t know what the calso counselor is talking about

Haas requires Statistics 20 or 21 and does not accept Statistics 2.

Why is Economics 1 considered “difficult”?

I think that adds up to 18 units… not 17.

You can switch courses around until the drop deadline (different deadlines depending on the class so pay careful attention). Do your “shopping,” make sure you really love your top choices, and have backups. 18 to begin with is good, because you can drop 4 or 5 at the beginning when you have a good look at the work on the syllabi. Moving & doing all new things is really hard, no need to overdo while you’re adjusting to school. Or, try it with an eye on the drop deadline. Have fun!
