I KNOW ppl on Harvard's site r sick of discussing standardized test scores...but will harvard consider the highest score from both old and new sat's (i.e., will they take my highest math score (old or new), highest verbal (old or new))? Also, are there data entry ppl/technicians who get collegeboard reports and pick out the highest scores, or do they leave it up to the reader of the app?

Yes, this year they will mix scores from the old and new tests. We were in the information session in April when this was discussed. All scores will be reported to the schools everytime you have scores sent.

thanks, but bandit or anyone else:

do you happen to know who mixes and matches...because it worries me that the adcoms can't add or pick out the highest scores...is it a data entry person who does this and gives the info to the adcoms...??

thanks...

The adcoms will see all of your scores.

sorry, but to clarify:

so they will see all the scores...but who picks out the highest, the adcoms or do some data people also give them a summary of your standardized test scores with the highest scores listed?

What if a person has come a long way and during 10th grade got like mid 1000 and then in 12th grade got an upper 1400? Will past scores hurt you if they are really bad and then later you score much better? Does this not show how hard a person has worked to up his/her scores? even if these improvements were in the same year?
