Please help me out and tell me which schools are matches/reaches/safeties. I beg you guys :)

hey, I'll help you out =)
First off, retake your SAT I in december, go as a standby if you have not registered. and use these next 10 days to study your butt off (try to reach 2000, trust me it is acheivable if you put the effort into learning the tricks of the SAT).
Second, your cahnces:
Boston University (Reach, but if you pump up the SAT I score, it will be a much much lower reach)
Penn State University (Match, if the SAT I goes up, it's a safety)
Purdue University (Reach, but if you pump up the SAT I score, it is a match)
University of Michigan (Big Reach, even with a higher SAT I Score I would say it is still a big reach)
Michigan State: Match/Safety with Higher SAT I

Those are the only schols I know chances about, but honestly bro, congratulations on getting back on track junior and senior year, the upward trend is DEFINITELY a plus. Furthermore, if your essays and recs are great, including a reason why you slacked off beginning of high school and portraying a sense of enlightment in which you started to show your true potential junior and senior year would be great in your essays. Good luck with everything man =)

Lastly, I wouldn't submit your ACT score, just submit the 1190 SAT I score, again if you retake it and do better it will help a lot. Last but not least, if you are TRULY interested in going to Universiy of Michigan or bigger name schools, you might want to take 1 or 2 SAT IIs in january and rush them in for regular decision/rolling admission. It may help in swinging you into an acceptance.

Is it even possible to register now? To the first poster, I posted this thread to get one lasting understanding of my chances, if you consider 2-3 people replying to a thread as replies, then please don't bash me because 2-3 responses won't give me a thorough idea. I'm not asking for like 20 or anything, but I just want a few constructive, helpful responses like the above poster.

You cannot register for the december 3rd test, but you can go to the test without registering as a standby test taker, and most likely you will get a spot. I would highly consider it, although I read the other post by wrx on the SAT Prep forumn saying you are safe with your scores for you colleges, it would not be wise to just 'hope for the best'. You have a golden opportunity to do well on the dec 3rd SAT, and like I said, if the stuff I mentioned is done then I think you will be good to go.

I understand. So say, for example, I go to the test center early. I tell them I am standby testing, but they don't have enough desks. Would they allow an extra desk into the room so I can take it, or would they just say no? It is a relatively large school at which the center is located. And is it advisable to call them before, and ask them if there is room? Like right now.

check this website for more information on standby test taking, it talks about the 36 dollar fee, and how you should have a completed registration that you bring to the test center:

Penn State - reach, may get into a branch campus (rejected in-state 6 years ago, accepted to branch)
IU - match (got in 6 years ago...)
Michigan State - match
Boston University - reach
Pitt - match/reach (though I got in 6 years ago with similar stats...it's gotten tougher!)

don't know the rest well enough to give you my opinion
