<p>Developed and maintaining a website for a registered software company in my town (internship) - all 4 years = 1664 hours.</p>

<p>Developed and programmed a software program for a registered company in my town. The company sells boxed software at giant retailers like Best Buy, WalMart, Amazon, etc. (intership) - 11th and 12th grade = 96 hours</p>

<p>Personal Statements:
I feel that I did extremely well. I wrote about the dedication I showed towards helping needy people at my school academically, and how i've moved about 25 times and lived in various places in the world/USA and how that type of diversity enriched my character and personality (shows how I can culturally contribute to the campus as an individual).</p>

<p>Also, in the additional comments section, I elaborated on my experiences as a web designer and software programmer (see extracurriculars above) and I told the admissions officers about the unique skillset which I acquired at these internships and how they show my passion/competency for engineering despite my low GPA.</p>

<p>Intended Major:
First Choice: Electrical Engineering
Second Choice: Undeclared</p>

<p>State: CA
School Type: Highly competitive school. Ranked in the top 10 in the state</p>

<p>Your stats and ECs are great for the UC schools. It would help to know your rank in your school as well since it’s so competitive, but that’s a personal opinion.</p>

<p>My high school doesn’t rank but I’m guessing somewhere around the top 30-40%. :confused: My school sends around 10-15 people to ivies/UC Berkeley and LA every year. How do you think I stand for UC Davis (my dream school)? :slight_smile: Thanks! Just ask if you’d like me to chance you as well.</p>

<p>You have really good ECs and good test scores, but I think your gpa is going to hurt you. However, if you go to a really good school it might not matter as much. :slight_smile: </p>

<p>Hey panther123! Davis is also where I plan to go next year for civil engineering (hopefully I’ll get in!)</p>

<p>UC Berkeley-Reach (Engineering is ridiculously hard to get into!!)
UCLA-Reach (Slightly less difficult than the uc berkeley engi program)
UCSD-Match to low reach? (You have a good shot!)
UCD-Match (I think you have a great chance!)
UCI-Match (Same as Davis)
UCSB-Match to high safety
UCSC-Safety</p>

<p>Overall, you have great chances! The only problem is that the uc’s take GPA over test scores. But because your school is so competitive, your gpa might not be too bad. Anyways, good luck! This will be a very long wait until march!</p>

<p>I think it will be a crap shoot for UCLA and Berkeley but you still have a very good chance, in my opinion. I say your in for all the other schools.</p>
