Last week at home before I-Day.

What are some things families or future mids are doing at home during your last week at home. What is going through your minds?

I am both sad and excited and I keep thinking, "This is the last time we will do such and such..." Anyone else doing the same thing? (I am a mom, by the way).

Well, I've got my entire week planned out so I make sure I see all my friends again for contact info. before I leave. Also, I'm allocating about 2-3 hours every day to review my chemistry notes, physics, etc. to validate as much as I can after the I-Day festivities. As far as nervous/excited, well, I'm both. After many years of waiting I finally get to do what I've always wanted to do. For my parents, its their 3rd I-Day experience so this is almost like old news for them! I'm sure there will be tears though as I leave (I hope lol).

Im moving out of my apartment, which I have been "doing" for about 2 weeks now. So in other words I just started. I will be effectively homeless starting tomorrow night, but my parents are close adn I will go crash at their place, besides that, as little as possible, with the exception of seeing my girlfriend as often as I can.

After a year of college, I've seen how much things can change in such a short amount of time. Even with just ROTC, I feel like I've had a considerably different college experience than most of my friends. While I love being home and seeing them, I'm really just focusing on what I'm gonna do at the Academy in a week. I've been spending a lot of time at the shooting range after my 6 month hiatus in Seattle....a lot of time running and pushing...and a lot of time enjoying doing nothing.

I just want to get Plebe Summer started.

Well, three of my sisters are leaving tomorrow. I'm going to finish cleaning my room today (so they get what they want of mine and the rest is trashed/cleaned). My dad left yesterday, but I'll see him the day before I leave. My mother and I are having a grand time galavanting around town. I bought nice new white underwear, socks, and round neck shirts (yippee!). I think I'm just going to finish up my last week of my choice exercising, tie up loose ends (grudges, finances, paperwork, et cetera), and find a way to see my friends one last time. Oh, and find out about travel plans...which I do not know of yet. :D
