Late ACT score

I sent my ACT score on Jan. 3rd for a Jan. 1st application deadline to Boston University. I am flip flopping whether this Boston University will now consider me now or not. I'm not sure because of the following:

I might blend it with those who sent it on Jan. 1st (doubt any got processed on New Years) since there is no specific date BU says they want their ACT score by.

The e-mail they sent me does confirm that I am missing my ACT score but there is no mention that I am too late to do this just that my application cannot be reviewed until they received my ACT score.

Is this a big deal? I payed my money, I submitted the Common App and Supplement on Dec. 26th and they have had all my other materials for months.

Thanks

will colleges know what date I requested my scores to be sent?

Hey basmith, don’t worry. A similar thing happened to me expect I forgot to send in my transcript form a community college class that I took. I sent it on January 2nd, after the deadline for BU. I e-mailed their admissions office and they told me it was okay. They said I would still be considered for their admissions. Furthermore, I also freaked out like you and posted my concern (before e-mailing BU) about my transcript sent after the deadline and almost every reply to my post said that it’s highly unlikely for colleges to regroup all of you application stuff quickly so they are very flexible with the supplement stuff like the ACT or transcripts, in my case.

thanks. But a C.C transcript is like a add-on/bonus. ACT is required. Do you think they will still be lenient?

I would think that they would be flexible for the ACT scores too but just to confirm, call their admissions office tomorrow and ask them.

You’re totally fine. For a lot of colleges with a January 1 deadline they even accept the January 26 SAT testing date, and those marks get sent to them in February. You’re okay haha. Even if you were supposed to send your ACTs in by January 1, colleges are more lenient than you’d think about stuff like that. You got the rest of your app in on time… testing results not being in doesn’t really show that much disorganization. Don’t worry about it.

For future applicants with a similar problem, this is the message BU sent me when I told them I sent my ACT scores on Jan. 3rd: Hi! So long as you have already arranged to have your ACT scores sent, they will arrive in time for consideration.

scores can arrive a lil late bud.
