So I took the Sep ACT and my first app (EA to UNC chapel hill) is due Oct 15, so it’s looking likely that I won’t get my score on time, which especially sucks because chapel hill superscores the ACT.
Could someone walk me through the process of what to do on the common app for this situation? I can put that I’m awaiting results, right? and should I send the new scores to chapel hill right now as well as my old score, even if I don’t know what I got in Sep. yet? Or can I wait until I see my new score?
Thanks!
I’m so sorry that happened to you! I took the Sept. ACT too and got my score sort of on time at least. Yes, you should say awaiting results and to be safe send everything in. If you want, you can also send an email to the admissions officer explaining your case or with any questions. I’m sure they’re aware of this.
It doesn’t look to me as though there is an “awaiting results” choice. My son is doing his Common Application right now and freaking out because it’s giving him red asterisks when he enters his future test dates. How do we communicate that he is taking the SAT II and ACT later this and next month? Should he just enter “0” for testing because we know the test services will be sending scores. I don’t want him to look too dumb to fill this out.
I think he’s almost done except for this mystery.
