Late Admission Deadline

I'm supposing I will not get in where I want to, so could someone help me find colleges with April/May/June or later deadline, that have at least a decent Fin Aid for internationals.
My stats:
CR 550, WR 530, M 710. iB Toefl 104
Top 2% of my class
9.6 out 10 grade average.

University of southern illinois at carbondale- i don't know whether you'll want to go there or not though (its not ranked top100).

But you'll get in their and probably will get some aid too- they have some full tutions for internationals too. Also their deadline is 1 st May- so you can apply.

I know someone who got his Btech comp. science from there and has a pretty good job now.

thx shreya.iitk
i just need to get in a college so I could transfer next year to a better one.

PS! does someone know where i could search colleges by their deadline?

anyone?>>>>

You can't search for them by deadline but can go to the US news college list and check out the bottom of the list or the 2 tier colleges- most of them have late deadlines.

anyone else maybe?

bump?!?!?!

(Hey, I've been having same thoughts... damn this pre-decision time!!! But as much as I am dreading over possible rejections, I am still trying my best to keep optimistic...)

Well, I don't know about finaid at these schools, but Colby-Sawyer and Drew Uni have deadlines on April 1 (if you get decisions by, say, March 31, you've still got a day to work on apps...?)

However, I really wish you the best and that you won't have to fill out another pile of applications after you get your RD results! :)

boho_girl, thanks for nice words.. i will be waiting for the RD and maybe I will get somewhere :)

bump again!

Here is the link to Peterson’s list of late and rolling deadline schools:

Check to make sure what the deadline is for international applicants. It may be different from the deadline for US applicants.

If you are an international student who needs financial aid, there is no such thing as a “safety school” for you. You need to apply NOW so that you have the best chance of receiving the aid you need. Don’t wait until you have been rejected, or not given enough aid, at the place(s) you like best.

Also, do not apply to any college/university that you would not be happy to graduate from. Do not count on being able to transfer to one that you like better. Especially if you need financial aid. Financial aid for transfer students in general is very limited. It is almost non-existent for international transfers. Be prepared to complete your degree wherever it is that you start it in case you aren’t able to transfer to a different college/university.
