I applied for andover, deerfield, exeter and choate. I've been placed on the wait list for andover and deerfield, but rejected by exeter and choate. Recently, I've been getting emails from The Webb School(Claremont, California) telling me to apply even though it would be late. At first we ignored those emails, but now my parents and I aren't so sure. I haven't been accepted anywhere yet, and even if I do receive an acceptance letter from Webb I wouldn't be all that happy. I really want to go to Andover, so I wanted to apply again for 10th grade. What should I do? Should I apply to Webb? Should I wait? Is there a chance to get into Webb?

dude ur from vancouver arnt u??? apply to shawnigan lake, brentwood college or st. george’s there great schools, or apply to a all girls school on vancouver island if ur a girl

Isn’t it already late to turn in the applications? Webb told me they would accept my late application, but I don’t know about those schools.

vancouver223 - Don’t apply to Cate if you don’t want to go there!

If there are other schools that you actually are interested in (and would want to attend), call them! Find out if they’ll take your late application. Don’t wait too long, though. For some schools, if your application is complete, they’ll consider you as soon as they get the rest of their applicant responses back on April 10.

My son was wait listed last year at one of the HADES and rejected at 2 others. By mid April we realized that there wasn’t really any hope of getting in. The school was overenrolled. We were all set to keep him home another year and try again. After several discussions with him about where he might want to look the 2nd time around we decided to get on the phone in the end of April. In early May we made a trip to New England to look seriously at a couple of schools that were very interested in him and within a week of those visits we had choices. If you are really serious about going to boarding school next fall, my advice is, while you’re waiting on a wait list, take a look around at other schools you might be interested in and give them a call. Apply to Webb and see what happens. You can also put in applications at other schools if you want. It is not to late.

Oops, meant “Webb” in my previous post, not Cate (and now all California schools are starting to look the same to me . . .)
