late application

did anyone else get an email from cornell saying that they think you're a good fit and maybe you might have overlooked them in the college search process so they're giving you another chance to apply?

i've never heard of that, care to elaborate?

Perhaps you have really good stats or mabye you got some award that colleges would know you by?

are you sure it wasn't cornell COLLEGE?

omg!!! LOL WOW i totally didn't know there were TWO cornells...wowowow!!! LOL thanks fae! i was actually thinking about filling out the application too...o.O hahahahaha yay i'm so glad i posted on here otherwise i would have wasted a lot of time and felt like a big FOOL hahaha :-[

lol ya there's a pretty big difference, that's why I was suprised. I'm sure ur still really awesome though! Good luck with everything!

lol cornell college. OCAAT! it's such a cute school.

hahaha funny

Hmm. . .I wonder if anyone has ever matriculated at the wrong school?

did you have really good stats though? I know my friend w/ 2390 SAT I, 800 math IIC, 800 bio, and 800 physics got that email too. He was like ughh I don't even care...Just wondering if only the students w/ great stats get that email.

Ya schools where you are above average want you to apply so it can increase their stats...I think most people get emails like that when colleges get hold of your info...somehow lol

If he applied, it would raise the test scores for admitted students, but it would lower the percentage of people who accept offers of admission.

Yeah, Cornell College is a bummer, especially because I live in the midwest, where people recognize the college as often as they recognize the university.
