Late classes

(Not sure if this is in the correct place)
I just registered for courses for the first time, and my schedule is fairly normal. Due to scheduling of other classes/availability none of my classes begin before 11:40am any day of the week. This however means that most of my days end around 3-4 (which I don't think is bad at all). I do have two days with evening classes though, Monday and Wednesday, from 5:30-8:10. What are your experiences with late classes? Will I be fine and able to adjust / socialize with the schedule I have now? I would say I am more of a night person than an early morning person, so I was trying to avoid 8ams. I can change my roster at any time, and I'm debating switching at least the Wednesday class to 8am (5:30 and 8 are the only times that work unfortunately).

I would hate getting out at 8. I have problems trying to avoid late classes because I CANNOT handle early ones. I like to start my day at 11 or so, so then sometimes I wind up stuck getting out super late, which is really annoying. It’s doable, but remember that it might conflict with like clubs or whatever you want to do. I feel like I paid attention fine, but there were a few times I would sneak out early because there was a concert or something I’d be missing otherwise, and that made it harder. If you don’t think you’ll make it to 8AMs, you really won’t, I’m literally incapable of going to them. I had an 8:50 class and I only went three times, it was terrible.

I like early classes because you tend to get out earlier. I’ve noticed my professors are usually in a better mood in the morning because they haven’t been dealing with whiny student **** all day.

I sympathize with the afternoon classes. They blow. All of mine but one are in the afternoon/evening this semester.

I’m a napper. I like morning classes, because I feel like I use my time more efficiently that way. All of my classes start at 8, and three days a week I’m done by 10:50. I plan on working out and studying for a few hours, take an afternoon nap around 3, and go to get around 11 or 12. It all depends on the type of schedule you want to have.

I had night classes one semester. The class was fine. It conflicted a bit but the people in clubs understood. It didn’t really conflict with my social life at all.

That must be rough. I have a class that goes from 4 to 6:30 on Tuesdays next semester. I think it all depends on the teacher. Supposedly the one for this class is really chill, usually doesn’t take the whole period and does let us have stretch breaks. And supposedly when the lecture does take the whole period he’ll let us go and get some grub around halfway through.

I had class from 7pm-10pm every Monday. It’s not the most ideal obviously, but you deal with it.
