<p>Hi, this is my first post here, I have been reading on here a lot and find this site very helpful. Just few minutes ago I asked my school's counseling office to print out official transcripts for the schools that I am applying to that requires counselor's recommendation. The problem is when I got there, they said they are closed already, and won't be back until 1/4/10. There are quite a few schools with deadline of 1/1 on my list. Will I be disqualified if the recommendations come late for about a week or so?</p>
<p>Looks like i have the same problem. My cousnelor informed me that she can not submit the rec online because apparently common application will not allow such without the transcript uploaded as well… well my cousnelor also stated that the school does not have that type of access to upload transcript so she will be mailing the recommendation out to the schools. Eventhough the school may be closed I’am assuming they will still collect their mail, so its irrational for one not being able to meet the deadline for such reason.</p>
<p>Anybody whether or not this will effect my chance getting into colleges?</p>
<p>As long as the actual application is sent before the deadline it should be fine.</p>
<p>You won’t be penalized for others’ mistakes. Yet, you have to send it in ASAP</p>
